Late Goal Line Stand Gives K-State 28-24Win Over Miami

Kansas State held Miami on four straight plays from the Wildcat two yard line that allowed the Wildcats to upset the Hurricanes 28-24 at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Saturday.  The Wildcats (3-0) then were able to run out the clock to get the huge road victory.

Quarterback Collin Klein had a huge day for KSU, rushing for 94 yards and two touchdowns and passing for 140 yards and two touchdowns on 12-18 passing with 0 interceptions.  John Hubert continued to make Wildcat fans forget about Bryce Brown as he rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown.  Brown did not play for the second straight week.

Miami (1-2) rallied from a 21-10 deficit to take a 24-21 lead on the first play of the fourth quarter by the Wildcats responded with an 80-yard 8-play drive that culminated with Hubert scoring on a two yard run to put KSU back in the lead for good.  That set up the defense for the late goal line stand that gave the Cats their third win of the season.

The unbeaten Wildcats open Big 12 Conference play Saturday at home against 17th ranked Baylor.
