Latest In Adam Longoria Case

Adam Longoria, the man accused of killing a 14-year-old Great Bend resident Alicia DeBolt wants the judge to prohibit prosecutors from introducing evidence of his relationship with the teenager. Attorneys for Adam Joseph Longoria filed a motion Friday in Barton County District Court arguing that such evidence is immaterial to the case. They contend it is a blatant attempt by the state to prejudice the jury. The defense filing came in response to a notice the state plans to introduce evidence of how Longoria became “obsessed” with Alicia DeBolt after meeting her at a birthday party. Longoria faces capital murder and other charges in DeBolt’s death. Her burned body was found August 24, 2010 at the Venture Corporation asphalt plant where Longoria worked. A preliminary hearing on revised charges is set for October 5.
