One Barton County man was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Sunday that possibly involved alcohol. Jacob Delgado was driving a Dodge pickup on Southeast 100 Avenue just north of Southeast 50 Road, when he entered the west ditch after avoiding a deer. The pickup returned back onto the road when Delgado over-corrected and his vehicle went into a side skid, which traveled into the east ditch. The vehicle then rolled one-and-three-quarter times coming to rest on the passenger side. Delgado called some friends to pick him up, and they took him to Great Bend Regional Hospital where he was listed in stable condition as of Monday morning. Delgado broke his leg and collarbone as a result of the accident. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, but alcohol may have been a contributing factor, with results pending.
