This past weekend, Great Bend welcomed hundreds of bikers and their rides to town for the 4th Annual Big Bend Bike Rally. Great Bend Chamber of Commerce President Jan Peters said it was another successful bike rally. She said they hosted nearly 1,500 people at the rally this year, up from any of the previous years at the Big Bend Bike Rally.
Peters said this year’s Bike Rally wasn’t as financially successful as they had hoped because of extra expenses from the All-Harley Dragsters, but they have had good years the past three years so its not a concern. She said they are already looking forward to planning next year’s 5th Annual Big Bend Bike Rally, and they hope to host even more bikers and spectators next year.
