It wasn’t easy, but Great Bend Athletic Director Dave Meter and Football Coach Bo Black were able to fill all nine games for the 2012-2013 seasons.

The Panthers, who have had a bye in week two the past two years, will open their season the next two years against Hoisington.  Also added to the non- league schedule this morning was Ulysses and Wichita North.

Great Bend High School along with Hays High had petitioned KSHSAA to keep the two schools in separate Districts which would have helped in scheduling non-conference games.  When that didn’t happen today, Meter and Black were left to scramble to find a game in week 2 in which they were able to do when Ulysses agreed to play the Panthers.
