LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) – Kansas is getting used to facing some of the nation’s best offenses. The Jayhawks get to see another one Saturday in Stillwater.
Kansas beat McNeese State and Northern Illinois to open the season, but couldn’t keep up with Georgia Tech’s frustrating option-based offense a few weeks ago.
Last week, Texas Tech’s high-powered offense allowed the Red Raiders to rally from a 20-0 hole and beat the Jayhawks in Lawrence. The outcome made it clear that with the defense Kansas is putting on the field, no lead is safe.
Kansas is allowing more than 44 points per game, 120th out of 120 teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Oklahoma State’s offense is averaging more than 570 yards and 44 points per game.
