Eagle Radio’s Rick Nulton was awarded the Kansas Association of Broadcasters “Mike Oatman Award for Broadcast Sales Excellence.” The award named in honor of KFDI’s ‘Ol Mike’ is given annually to one Kansas Broadcaster who has shown outstanding achievement in broadcast sales, sales management and mentoring others to sales success.
Rick was born in Hays, graduated from Hoisington High School and Ft Hays State. He began his broadcast career in Garden City. In 1986 he was named General Manager for KHOK Radio.
In accepting the award Rick acknowledged his mentors and friends in the industry who helped him in his management career. He also shared the honor with the Eagle Radio associates in Great Bend with whom he works every day.
The presentation was made at the KAB Convention held at the Oread Hotel in Lawrence.
