59-year-old David Walter was arrested for Online Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking in Wichita on Saturday. He was listed to be a resident of Hays, but as the Public Information Officer with the Wichita Police Department Lieutenant Doug Nulte says, he has connections to Great Bend as well. He said he gave several addresses located outside of Wichita, including Great Bend and Hays. Nulte said charges are still pending, and detectives have yet to charge him.
Walter was arrested, along with 6 other Wichita-area residents, as part of a human trafficking sting last weekend, involving the FBI, the Internet Crimes Against Children task force, the Wichita and Sedgwick County Exploited and Missing Child Unit, Wichita police and Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office.
