He attended Great Bend High School and graduated from Salina Vocational Technical College specializing in auto body.
He was employed for many years by R and S Repair and Transportation and recently worked for Central States Thermo
King of Dodge City, Kansas, as a refrigeration technician. He married Karla Weatherman on January 21, 1981, and
were later divorced.
He spent many years working on diesel refrigeration units and was a specialist in that field. He was an avid car and
antique collector.

He was also survived by his beloved dogs, Thunder and Dottie

He was preceded in death by son, Travis Roat, father, James A. Roat, brother, Darin Roat, grandparents; Mervin and
Fern Lemon and Gilford and Florence Roat
