Jeffery Chapman, the man charged with the 1st degree murder of 25-year-old Great Bend resident Damon Galyardt on November 12th, 2011, made an appearance in Barton County District Court (TUE.) today/yesterday. Barton County Attorney Doug Matthews explains what was decided from the appearance.

Magistrate Judge Don Alvord from Lyons is expected to oversee the case. Chapman was charged with Galyardt’s murder on Monday. Chapman is being held at Barton County Detention Center on a 1 million-dollar bond.
