Petition for a public vote on the No-Fund Warrants for the Stafford County Hospital Due March 25th

The Stafford County Hospital has been seeking no-fund warrants in the amount of 555,000 dollars from Stafford County to help pay off some of the hospital’s debts. The no-fund warrants are loans from some local banks that the County would pay back over four years. The public has been given up to 60 days to collect over 140 signatures from Stafford County residents that would force a public vote on the issue. Stafford County Hospital Administrator Todd Taylor.

TAYLOR-SIGN THE PETITION by Matt Unruh

Taylor says a public vote would stall the Hospital from receiving the no-fund warrants for at least another 60 days, which he says could cause the Hospital to fall under. He said the Hospital has had three well-attended public meetings in St. John, Macksville, and Stafford, to inform the public about the issue. Taylor says the Hospital will probably have some more public meetings on the issue.
