Central Kansas Court Appointed Special Advocates program raised 35,000 dollars at their annual Chocolate Auction last week. CASA represents abused or neglected children in court, and makes sure they end up in a good home. The CASA organization statewide will also receive some funding from the state. Central Kansas CASA Executive Director Aidan Koster credits Kansas Senator Ruth Teichman from the 33rd Senate District for the funding.
