OBITUARY INFORMATION

Married Armella Bieker September 18, 1945 at Hays, Kansas. 

He was a clerk, supervisor and rural carrier for the United States Postal Service.

Mr. Bianchino was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1945 coming from New York, New York.

He was a United States Army Air Force veteran of World War II, serving with the 73rd Bomb Wing, 500th Bomb Group, 20th Air Force. He came to Walker Army Air Force Base in Kansas from New York.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, American Legion Argonne Post 180, B-29 Memorial Committee, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

                               Marian Fields of Overland Park, KS

One Sister: Teresa Allen of West Islip, NY

Eleven Grandchildren: Paul McKown, Jason McKown and his wife Andrea, Brian McKown and his wife Ellen, Jill McRoberts, Marc McRoberts and his wife Kristen, Gina McRoberts, Zachary Ross, Rachel Patrum and her husband Mike, Nathan Fields, Chris Bianchino, and Alyssa Bianchino

Seven Great-grandchildren: Katherine McKown, William Johnson, Mac McRoberts, Cabriah Ross, Emmanuel Ross, Alassa Gevanni, and Maxwell Patrum

 

He was preceded in death by three brother, Louis Bianchino, Anthony Bianchino, and Gerald Bianchino; one sister, Philomena Bianchino; and one half-sister, Mary Alonso.

Vigil Service: 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend

Celebrant: Father Reginald A. Urban

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard

Visitation:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund: Holy Family School Endowment Fund or Cherry Village Nursing Home, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
