OBITUARY INFORMATION

 

She was a graduate of Claflin High School.

She married Robert F. Hickey November 24, 1952 at Hoisington, Kansas. He died April 8, 1972.

She then married Walter Joseph Straub May 31, 1974 at Hoisington, Kansas.  He died January 19, 2011.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Straub was a lifetime Barton County, Kansas, resident.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar Society, Great Bend.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Coker and one sister, Gene Simmons.

Two Sisters:  Delores Rouse, Great Bend, KS and Shirley Foos, Talequah, Oklahoma 

Three Daughters: Donna Leger and her husband Mike of Humble, TX

                                  Beverly Corkill and her husband Clyde of Lawrence, KS

                                  Linda Hart and her husband Brad of Lenexa, KS

Two Sons: Ron Straub and his wife Kathy of Great Bend, KS

                     Larry Straub and his wife Julie of Salina, KS

Eight Grandchildren: Jessica Barr, Audrey Corkill, Kristy Straub, Darren Straub, Hillary Straub, Brantley Straub, David Hart, and Jeffrey Hart

Three Great-grandchildren: Markail Dew, Baze Hogan, and Vivian Elizabeth Barr

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 11, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend

Interment: 1:30 p.m., Friday at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Hoisington, Kansas

Visitation:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home
