OBITUARY INFORMATION
Married Mae Kepler September 20, 1942 at Burlington, Kansas.
He was a 1940 graduate of Burlington High School and a 1950 graduate of Kansas State University with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He was a self-employed veterinarian and was the first supervisor for western Kansas for the new Kansas Meat and Poultry Inspection Board for the Kansas Department of Agriculture, retiring after nineteen years of service.
Dr. Weaver was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1950 coming from Burlington and Manhattan, Kansas.
Dr. Weaver was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving with General Patton’s 45th Division and the French 2nd Armored Division. He was with the group who went through the concentration camp Dachau, the morning after the Allies liberated the camp. He retired as Major in the Army Reserves.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, American Legion Argonne Post 180 where he was past commander, 60-year member and past president of Great Bend Kiwanis, Kansas State University Alumni Association, Barton County Historical Society and a past board member, Great Bend Cemetery Board, BPO Elks Lodge #1127, Reserve Officers Association, and Military Officers Association. He was also the national coordinator of the 250th Field Artillery Battalion Reunion Group.

Numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Izetta Arvidson and Rachel Dodd.

Place of Service: Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard
Visitation: 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 23, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home
Memorial Fund: Trinity Lutheran Church or Golden Belt Humane Society or Barton County Historical Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
