OBITUARY INFORMATION

Married Leonard Andrew Birzer August 11, 1943 at Great Bend, Kansas.  He died July 29, 1995.

She was bookkeeper for Rice Engineering and retired from Great Bend Job Service Center in 1986.

Mrs. Birzer was a lifetime Barton County resident moving to Cody, Wyoming, in 2007.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, and Daughters of Isabella.  She was a Boy Scout Den Mother and a 4-H Leader.

One Son: David Birzer and his wife Karen of Cody, WY

One Daughter: Janice Fisher and her husband Kent of Oklahoma City, OK

One Brother: Robert Eveleigh of Great Bend, KS

Two Sisters: Florence Saunders of Springfield, MO

                       Dorothy McIntyre of Las Vegas, NV

Five Grandchildren: Kelly Hruska and husband John of Olive Hurst, CA

                                       Jeffery Lederer of Fort Worth, TX

                                       Jennifer Simmons and husband Harley of Livingston, MT

                                       Craig Birzer and wife Daryl of Peoria, AZ

                                       Matthew Fisher of Oklahoma City, OK

Fifteen Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

 

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Eveleigh and Charles Woodrow Eveleigh; and four sisters, Ruby Bramel, Myrtle Eveleigh, Maude Habiger, and Jessie Pedigo.

Altar Society Rosary:  4:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home

Vigil Service with Daughters of Isabella Rosary: 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 7, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas

Visitation:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund: Alzheimer’s Association, in care of Bryant Funeral Home

 

The Family of Pearl, would very much like to express their gratitude for the excellent care that Pearl received from the Doctors, Nurses, & Staff at the North Big Horn Hospital, and the Love, Laughter, and Compassion that surrounded her each day by her extended family of caregivers at the New Horizons Care Center in Lovell, Wyoming.
