She worked for the Petroleum Club and later was co-owner and operator of R & L Pump.
Mrs. Batman was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1940’s coming from Lexington, Mississippi.
She was lovingly known as “Memo,” Mrs. Batman had a variety of jobs, yet her true calling was raising and nurturing her children and their families. She was the true matriarch of the family. Her playful, witty, and jovial personality were the perfect match to her scratch-made comfort food.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, including Arlen Johnson and Cecil Johnson, six sisters, including Ruby, Helen, and Jewell, Virginia and Louise; and one great-granddaughter, Maria.
