Hoisington City Council Considers Recommendations of Utility Task Force at Meeting

Following the Christmas holiday, the Hoisington City Council resumed activity with a meeting, and once again discussed electric utility operations. City Manager Jonathan Mitchell says that the governing body approved of recommendations from the Utility Task Force and Consultant Sawvel and Associates.

Mitchell says that rates and competitiveness will continue to be monitored, as Sawvel and Associates will continue to help the city develop demand rates, and gather demand data, in working toward another round of rate reductions in early 2014. Hoisington residents can expect to see immediate reductions on their bills beginning February 1st of 2013.
