He married Doris Peterson and they were later divorced. He then married Delores Gagelman Fischer July 1970 at Great Bend, Kansas.
He worked for Spruill Motors, was a self-employed contract pumper and was a farmer.
Mr. Potts was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1956 coming from Bushton, Kansas.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Cougar Booster Club. He was a Booster Club Hall of Fame member and raced circle track from the 1950’s to 1970’s.
