OBITUARY INFORMATION

Married Bernadine Schneider May 12, 1948 at Olmitz, Kansas. 

He was an auto mechanic for Spruill’s and retired from Marmie’s in 1975.

Mr. Linenberger was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1946.

He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 1276th Engineer Combat Battalion in Holland, Germany, and Iceland. 

He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.  He was a former member of Knights of Columbus and Veterans of Foreign Wars #3111.  He enjoyed bowling, dancing, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Wife: Bernadine Linenberger, of the home

Two Sons: Larry Linenberger and his wife Lisa of Olathe, KS; and Ron Linenberger and his wife Kayla of Great Bend, KS

One Daughter: Mary Lou Beardslee and her husband Jerry of Topeka, KS

Three Sisters: Edith Gottschalk of Hays, KS, Linda Lowe of California, and Ann Connally of Denver, CO

Two Brothers: Gilbert Linenberger of Littleton, CO, and Jerry Linenberger of Sterling, KS

Seven Grandchildren: Jason Beardslee, Stacie Beardslee, Amie Murray, Michael Linenberger, Jennifer Chapman, Michael Reichow, and Sherri Reichow

Great-grandchildren: Nine

 

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tony Linenberger, Eugene Linenberger, and Sylvester Linenberger; and two sisters, Bette Radke and Marie Holeman.

 

SERVICE INFORMATION

Vigil Service with Rosary: 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend with military rites conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard

Officiant: Father Reginald A. Urban

Visitation:  Noon to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund: American Red Cross to benefit Tornado Relief, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
