OBITUARY INFORMATION

Married Cindy Meyer February 14, 1982 at Laverne’s Marriage Parlor, Miami, Oklahoma. 

He was a driller and roughneck for Mohawk Drilling, Pickrell Drilling, and White and Ellis Drilling; was a corrections officer for Larned Mental Health Correctional Facility; and retired as a mental health technician for Larned State Hospital.

Mr. Lee was a long time Great Bend, Kansas resident.

He was a veteran of both the United States Navy and United States Army.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Wife: Cindy Lee, of the home

four sons: Johnny Lee and his wife Brandi of Augusta, KS, James Lee and his wife Carey of Augusta, KS, Chris Stephens and his wife Joelle of Overland Park, KS, Travis Lee of Great Bend, KS

one daughter: Melissa Adelhardt of Great Bend, KS

Three Half Brothers: Eddie Lee of TX; Frankie Lee of TX; and Lonnie Lee of OR

Three Half Sisters: Sharon Evans of CO; Shirley Myers of TX; and Carol Lane of CO

Eleven Grandchildren:  Nicole, Kendall, Taylor, Gracie, Jordan, Caelei, Tanner, Reagan, Alexa, Tristan, and Breanna

Two great-grandchildren:  Gabrielle and Jaxon

 

He was preceded in death by one brother, James C. Lee; and one half brother, Terry Lee.

 

SERVICE INFORMATION

Funeral Service: Friday, July 26, 2013

Time of Service: 10:00 a.m.

Place of Service: Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend

Officiant: The Reverend James A. Strasen

Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend, Kansas with military honors conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard

Visitation:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund: Trinity Lutheran Church or American Heart Association, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
