OBITUARY INFORMATION

Married Edna Jurgensen April 24, 1941 at Albert, Kansas.  She died May 11, 2002.

He was a brick mason, he worked for Lindholm Construction, C. V. Cale, Dreiling Masonry, and also did independent contracting.

Mr. Orebaugh was a lifetime Great Bend, Kansas, having been raised in Dodge City.

He was a United States Army veteran, serving during World War II. 

He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, American Legion Argonne Post 180, Eagles Aerie #646, and Brick Layers Union Local #15 for seventy-three years.

two sons: Jerry Orebaugh of Garden City, KS, and Randy Orebaugh and his wife Gloria of Great Bend, KS

two daughters: Ulanda Stiebben of Pratt, KS, and Jolene Peters and her husband John of Great Bend, KS

one sister: Mildred Demoret of Jetmore, KS

one brother: Clark Orebaugh of Wichita, KS

Grandchildren: Eleven

Great-grandchildren: Twenty-four

Step Grandchildren: Four

Great-great-grandchildren: One

One Special Friend:  Nadine Maier

Loyal shiba inu companion: Daisy Mae

 

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd Orebaugh and Melvin Orebaugh, and three sisters, Fern Wintamute, Loretta Orebaugh, and Jean Orebaugh.

 

SERVICE INFORMATION

Funeral Service: Monday, October 21, 2013

Time of Service: 11:00 a.m.

Place of Service: First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend    Officiant: The Reverend Dr. Doyle Smith

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas with military rites conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard

Visitation:  1:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Great Bend Senior Center or First Southern Baptist Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
