Linda Kay Parr

Linda ParrZook – Linda Kay Parr, 66 passed away November 16, 2013 at the Southwind Hospice, Pratt.

She was born December 8, 1946 in Larned; the daughter of Melvin C. and Dora F. Flanders Kasselman. A lifetime area resident; she was a social worker for 41 years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Larned and the Zook Community Center.

On June 15, 1968 she married Loren Parr in Larned. He passed away January 18, 2011.

Survivors include; a son Shane Parr and wife Stacy, Larned; a daughter Jennifer Cross and husband Tim, Solomon; two brothers, Max Kasselman, Andale; and Ralph (Butch) Kasselman, Ponca City, Ok; and six grandchildren, Taylor Parr, Kelsey Parr and Cade Parr all of Larned, Lauren Cross, Shaelynn Cross and Allison Cross all of Solomon.

She was preceded in death by; her husband Loren; a sister, Ruth Steffen and two brothers, Harlan Kasselman and Robert Kasselman.

Memorial service will be at 10:30a.m., Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Larned, with Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Zook, Kansas.
