OBITUARY INFORMATION

 

She married Norman Robinson. He died in 1959.  She then married Charles E. Kearns October 7, 1961 at Chase, Kansas.  He died March 24, 1981.

She was a homemaker and worked in the fabric department at Wal-mart until retiring.

Mrs. Kearns was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1986 coming from Chase, Kansas.

She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3111 Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, and Silver Cougar Club, all of Great Bend.

 

SURVIVORS

 

three sons: Eddie Kearns and his wife Cindy of Parsons, KS, Allen Robinson and his companion Georgia Craft of Great Bend, KS, and Shawn Kearns and his companion Kathy Nimmo of Great Bend, KS

one daughter: Becky Andereck and her husband Dean of Hoisington, KS

one brother: Larry Smith and his wife Leila of Sterling, CO

seven grandchildren: Shane Andereck and his wife Janet, Zac Andereck and his wife Katherine, Krista Andereck, Jason Kearns, Molly Smith and her husband Jeff, Josh Robinson, and Kelci Kearns

four great-grandchildren: Jadynn Andereck, Kasey Andereck, Rylee Smith, and Addison Smith

 

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Harold Penland, Merl Smith, Warren Smith, Orval Smith, LaVerne Smith, and Dwight Smith, and two sisters, Gladys Boyd and Goldie Swartout.

Funeral Service: Friday, January 3, 2014

Time of Service: 2:00 p.m.

Place of Service: Bryant Funeral Home

Officiant: The Reverend Dr. Doyle Smith

Interment: Springdale Cemetery, Chase, Kansas

Visitation:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund: First Southern Baptist Church or Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3111 Auxiliary, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
