He was employed by Gibson, Titus & Stafford and later was a welder for Clarke Well & Equipment, both of Great Bend. He also was a farmer.
Mr. Schaub was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1950 coming from Independence, Missouri.
He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #862, both of Great Bend.

five sons: Kent Schaub and his wife Merris of Ness City, KS, Richard Schaub of Missoula, MT, Kurtis Schaub and Annetta of Great Bend, KS, Alan Schaub and his wife Kristi of Bloomfield Hills, MI, and Kris Schaub and his wife Sharon of Tecumseh, KS
one daughter: Elizabeth Price and her husband Steve of Kansas City, KS
eleven grandchildren: Stacy Franzen, Chad Jennings, Josh Schaub, Christina Nuckolls, Katelyn Schaub, Keenan Schaub, Kipp Schaub, Will Schaub, Lukas Schaub, Ben Schaub, and Lydia Schaub
eight great-grandchildren: Haley Jennings, Cole Franzen, Hayden Schaub, Jack Franzen, Harper Schaub, Abby Franzen, Rylie Nuckolls, and Ella Jennings

He was preceded in death by one brother, Leslie Schaub, and one sister, Helen Hall.
