He was a derrick hand for Pickrell Drilling Co.

Mr. Loftis was a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1952, coming from Alma, Kansas.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by son, Jimmy Richard Loftis, two brothers, Bill Loftis and Roy Rogers, and two great-grandchildren.
