Dale Otte

Dale OtteLarned – Dale Otte, 76, passed away October 17, 2014 at the Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

He was born January 4, 1938 in Great Bend. The son of Wilmer and Leah Dorfshaffer Otte. A longtime area resident he was a farmer/stockman.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Pawnee County Relay for Life, Santa Fe Trail Center Wet/ Dry Routes Chapter, Pawnee County 4-H Leader, Farm Bureau past president and a past board member for the Pawnee County COOP; and most recently received the Faye Anderson Award.

On September 16, 1956 he married Karen Rice in Great Bend. She survives.

Other survivors include; two daughters, Lori Blakesley and husband Rick, Hutchinson and Kim Gevara and husband Steve, Larned; a sister, Lois Schimmels, Clinton, OK; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Fisher, Matthew Finger, Jacob Finger, Audree Senestraro, Emile Blakesley, Tanner Blakesley and Bryce Gevara; and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; a daughter Jennifer Finger.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. David Hales presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be at a later date.
