She married Jerry Wenke December 1980 at Great Bend, Kansas. They later divorced.

A lifetime resident of Great Bend, she was a teacher at Head Start and a family support case worker at St. Francis Academy. Barbara was a very giving mother and grandmother, enjoying all her time with her grandkids, family and friends. Family was the most important thing in her life.

five grandchildren: Kailee Adams, Kadin White, Jaelynn Adams, Kynslee White, and Kambryn White

Visitation:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home
