OBITUARY INFORMATION

He married Donna Fay Richards December 23, 1958 at Kanopolis, Kan.  She died August 26, 1985.

He earned bachelor and master degrees from Fort Hays State University. He was an English teacher at Roosevelt Junior High and Great Bend Middle School.

Mr. Schulz was a Great Bend, Kan., resident since 1962 coming from Hays, Kan., moving to Wichita in 2005.

He was a United States Air Force veteran, serving from 1952 to 1956.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Great Bend; Knights of Columbus Council No. 7422, Lyons; Coronado Assembly of the Fourth Degree of Columbus; American Legion of Kanopolis, GBNEA, KNEA, and NEA.

 

SURVIVORS

one son: Dr. Thomas Kevin Schulz and his wife Mary of Fayetteville, Ark.

one sister: Ann Marie Soukup of Kanopolis, Kan.

two granddaughters: Olivia Fay Schulz and Victoria Andrietta Schulz

 

He was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Schulz, and one sister, Mary Bedingfield.

Vigil Service and Knights of Columbus Rosary: 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Bryant Funeral Home

Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kan., with military rites by United States Air Force Honor Guard

Visitation:  1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund:   St. Joseph School, Fayetteville, Ark., in care of Bryant Funeral Home
