He was senior application engineer for Diesel Equipment Co., Great Bend beginning in 1955 and transferred with the company in 1966 to Wichita, which later became Central Power Systems.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7428, Hoisington, and American Legion Post #99, Russell. His hobby was clock making.
