OBITUARY INFORMATION

He married Delores June Schenkel July 14, 1946 at Bazine, Kansas.  She died April 28, 2015.

He was an engineering technician for Evans, Bierly, and Hutchison.

Mr. Steadman was a lifetime Great Bend, Kansas resident.

Mr. Steadman was a United States Army Air Corps veteran, serving with the 8th Air Force during World War II in the European Theater.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, American Legion Argonne Post 180, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3111, B. P. O. Elks Lodge #1127, and Order of Eastern Star Golden Sheaf Chapter #226, all of Great Bend.

one son: Dennis Robert Steadman and his wife Stephanie of Kennewick, WA

two daughters: Debra Sue Losch and her husband James of Oswego, IL, and Laurie Lea Bard and her husband Larry of Great Bend, KS

one sister: Lois A. Hazard of Topeka, KS

one brother: Bill G. Steadman and his wife Wilma of Great Bend, KS

five Grandchildren: Matthew Robert Steadman and wife Nina, Meghan (Losch) Farej and her husband Matt, Tyler Steadman and his wife Breanne, Brendan Losch, and Amber (Steadman) Lendin and her husband Brian

five great-grandchildren: Ella June Steadman, Mason James Farej, Ariana Jo Steadman, Maddon Robert Farej, and Michaela Farej

numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Steadman.

Funeral Service: Saturday, June 27, 2015

Time of Service: 10:00 a.m.

Place of Service: First United Methodist Church in Great Bend

Officiant: The Reverend Lennie Maxwell

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas with military rites by United States Air Force Honor Guard

Visitation:  9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.,  with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2015 at Bryant Funeral Home

Memorial Fund: First United Methodist Church or Wounded Warrior Project, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
