He married Nelda Mitchell January 30, 1959 at Clayton, Missouri. He was of the Lutheran faith. Mr. Ashauer was a St. John resident for fifteen years, coming from Colorado Springs, Colo.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Nelda Ashauer, of the home; three sons, Allen Ashauer, St. John, Norman Ashauer, Bismark, Ark., and Jose Ashauer, Great Bend; four sisters, Gloria Scherage, Worden, Ill., Virginia Folk, Bagley, Wisc., Sarah Burnett, Omaha, Ark., and Nancy Randel, Staunton, Ill.; four grandchildren, George A. Ashauer, Luke Ashauer, Benjamin Ashauer and Holley Ashauer; and four great-grandchildren.

SERVICE INFORMATION

There will be no services. Cremation has taken place. Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, is in charge of arrangements.
