Jared married Allison Baird on April 20, 2002, at Woods Cross UT. He was a self-employed pilot, attending school at KSU at Salina, studying to become a commercial pilot. He served in the United States Air Force for twelve years. He was a member of the LDS Church in Great Bend, Alpha Eta Rho, a fraternity for pilots, and the Holyrood Fire Dept. He also served as an assistant scout master for Great Bend Troop 7111, and a motorcycle safety instructor. He was a resident of Holyrood, KS.
