She married Harold Vincent Tomlin in 1947 at Great Bend, Kansas. They divorced after 25 years. She then was married to Durl Workman for 25 years. She then married Richard L. Vesta July 26, 1994 at Manhattan, Kansas.  He died August 10, 1994.

She worked as a hostess for Pancho’s.

Growing up in Great Bend, Mrs. Vesta returned to Great Bend in 2007, having resided in Manhattan and Concordia for 25 years.

six sons: Douglas Tomlin of Louisburg, Paul Tomlin of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mark Tomlin and his wife Shirley of Great Bend, Bruce Tomlin and his wife Carol of Maize, Howard Tomlin and his wife Lisa of Mesa, Ariz., and Adrian Tomlin and his wife Carla of Great Bend

one daughter: Lissa Tomlin of Maize

one brother: Daniel Gutierrez of Denver, Colo.

one sister: Dolores Lapka of Great Bend

Grandchildren: Twelve

Numerous great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma Mounkes, Alberta Delgado and Lucille Zero, one brother, Ishmael Gutierrez, and one grandson, Christopher Jacob Kern.

Funeral Service: 2 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Bryant Funeral Home

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas

Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 at Bryant Funeral Home
