DAVID G. RICHARDSON
David G. Richardson, age 69 years, of Albert, Kansas, passed away at his home on Saturday morning, August 6, 2016. “Dave” was born on October 5, 1946 at Great Bend, Kansas to Harold “Bay” and Georgia (Weiser) Richardson. He was united in marriage to Teri L. Barr on March 20, 1983 at Apple Valley, California. The couple lived in Yorba Linda, California prior to moving to Albert in August of 1996. A self-employed carpenter and cabinetmaker, he owned and operated Dave’s Custom Cabinets in Albert for twenty years. Dave enjoyed motorcycle riding and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Teri L. Richardson of Albert, Kansas; one son, Jackson (and his wife, Shayna) Richardson of Albert, Kansas; two daughters: Dana (and her husband, Bob) Blair of Paradise, California and Sarah Comer (and her companion, Chris Treadwell) of Goddard, Kansas; five grandchildren: Alison Walker, Khilie McQuade, David Bivens, Seth Richardson, and Dylan Richardson; one brother, Charles (and his wife, Cheryl) Richardson of Great Bend, Kansas and two sisters: Joyce (and her husband, Richard) Kultgen of Albert, Kansas and Janice Everett of Fort Mohave, California. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, his twin Dale Richardson and Jack Richardson.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Dave’s life will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Charter Funerals in Great Bend, Kansas with Chaplain Larry Schumacher officiating. According to Dave’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. Dave would have wanted everyone that attends his Memorial Celebration to be comfortable so there is no need to dress up. Memorial donations may be made in care of Dave Richardson’s GoFundMe Account to help defray medical and funeral expenses.
