GREAT BEND — Carolyn June Butts, 88, died Sept. 24, 2016, at Cherry Village Nursing Home, Great Bend. She was born Feb. 22, 1928, at Larned, the daughter of Ralph and Pearl Lena (Dirks) Unruh. She married Joseph Oral Butts August 15, 1946 at Great Bend. They later divorced. She was an LPN at Larned State Hospital.

She was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne Butts of Dearing, Ga., and Howard Butts of Wichita; two sisters, Barbara Unruh and Charlotte Vaughn, both of Great Bend; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Dean Butts, and one daughter, Dorothy Ann Butts.

Graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m., Friday, September 30, 2016 at Great Bend Cemetery with Pastor Don Paden officiating. Inurnment will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials are requested to American Heart Association, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
