Bob married Merlyn Byers June 6, 1954 at Great Bend, KS. He served during Korean War in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Sergeant.
A lifetime Barton County resident, Bob co-owned and operated Brack and Henning Floor Covering, and attended Faith Community Church and was a member of V.F.W. Post #3111, both of Great Bend. He was active in the Assembly of God Church, serving as a bus driver for 13 years. Bob was as a man of few words, and enjoyed being active outdoors and indoors, always having a project.

One Great Great-Grandson: Braxton Drake
He was preceded in death by one brother, William F. Henning, and a sister, Ruby Hart.

Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2016 at Bryant Funeral Home, with family receiving friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm
