GREAT BEND — Shane P. Kern, 49, died Nov. 7, 2016, at Great Bend. He was born Sept. 29, 1967, at Great Bend, the son of Don and Donna (Dino) Kern. He was a maintenance worker.

Survivors include his father, Don Kern of Great Bend, two sons: Sloane Kern and his wife Tiffani of Dodge City, and Corbin Kern of Maize; one daughter, Shanel Kern of Maize; one sister, RaeGina Werth of Great Bend; three brothers, Lafe Kern and his wife Erin of Hutchinson, Dino Kern of Morrison, Colo., and Reggie Kern and his wife Meghan of Great Bend; three grandchildren, Amaya Kern, Zaylee Kern and Drake Kern; six nieces and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Kern, and a son, Christopher Kern.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. There will be no visitation. Memorials are requested to Shane Kern Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
