Gerardo Acosta Delgadillo

delgadillo-gerardoGREAT BEND — Gerardo Acosta Delgadillo, 50, died March 7, 2017, at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita. He was born June 23, 1966, at Aguanueva, Mexico, the son of Jose F. and Rosalia (Acosta) Delgadillo. He married Maria T. Martinez October 20, 1984 at San Juan. A Great Bend resident since 1986, coming from Mexico, Mr. Delgadillo was a concrete finisher for Smokey Hill Construction.

He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend.

Survivors include his wife, Maria T. Delgadillo, of the home; his parents, Jose F. and Rosalia Delgadillo; two sons, Saul Delgadillo and Gustavo J. Delgadillo, both of Great Bend; one daughter, Araceli E. Delgadillo of Great Bend; three brothers, Roberto Delgadillo, Fidel Delgadillo and Miguel Delgadillo, all of Great Bend; and four sisters, Maria M. Delgadillo of Mexico, Maricela Delgadillo of Great Bend, Rocio Delgadillo of Chicago, Ill., and Edelmira Delgadillo of Chicago, Ill. He was preceded in death by one son, Eduardo Delgadillo.

Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2017, at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2017, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend, with Father Ted Stoecklein celebrating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery North. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m., Friday, March 10, 2017, at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials have been established with the Gerardo Delgadillo Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
