The Barton Community College baseball team spotted Rose State College six runs through the first three innings Sunday in Midwest City but came up short in the comeback dropping the rubber match 8-5.
Saturday the Cougars traded shutouts with Rose State as Barton took game one 6-0 while the home standing Raiders took the nightcap 3-0.
The 4-3 Cougars will next turn their attention to their home opener at Lawson-Biggs Field, a four-game set this weekend against Western Nebraska Community College. Saturday and Sunday doubleheader action begins with 1:00 p.m. first pitch.
