He married Ashley Keenan July 14, 2012 at Norton, Kansas.
A Larned resident, he worked in the oilfield all his entire life and currently working for WW Drilling and truly enjoyed his work. He loved to play the guitar. He had the biggest heart, the most contagious smile, and loved to give to others. He loved rock music, his work, his friends, and most especially his family. With great sadness we say, “Bye for now, but not forever.”

He was the loving husband of Ashley Smith, and the amazing father of two beautiful children, Jossalyn and Benjamin Smith. He is also survived by his father: Rick Lee Smith and his wife Rose, Great Bend, KS, his mother: Rayetta L. Crist and her husband Ed, Pawnee Rock, KS; two sisters: Jennifer Cox of Wichita, KS, and Britney Smith of Wellsville, KS, four brothers: Mitchell Smith and his wife Heather of Larned, KS, Mike Crist and his wife Michelle of Newton, KS, Matt Crist and his wife Lauren of Oklahoma City, OK, and Jeremy Crist of Edmond, OK, and grandparents: Dale and Mae Smith of Great Bend, KS; and Ray Navarro of Pawnee Rock, KS.
He was preceded in death by grandmother, Betty Navarro.
