Teachers from Great Bend High School attended an in-district A.C.T. Workshop, where a speaker familiar with development of the ACT spoke. They shared what they learned at Monday’s USD 428 school board meeting. Alyssa (KROGER) Kroeker is a math instructor at Great Bend High School.

Kroeker said when there are math questions on the ACT with figures, they are always drawn to scale so if they measure a side, it usually will be the actual length. She added that students will do better on the math section of the ACT if they at least take up to Algebra Two in High School.
