The Barton Community College softball team picked up their first win of the 2012 season by defeating Pratt Community College 11-8 in game one of the doubleheader today in Pratt.  The two teams split the series as Pratt scored four in the bottom of the sixth to win game two 6-2.

The series was a stark difference from their season opening meeting last year when Pratt blasted the Lady Cougars by a two game scoring margin of 37-6.

Barton will head to Poteau, Oklahoma, on Friday to play in the Carl Albert State College Tournament over the week-end.  The 1-3 Cougars will play at home on Wednesday, February 22, against Dodge City Community College in a 2:00 pm. doubleheader at Cougar Fields.
