A long time Barton County resident, Ruby was a housewife and a seamstress, operating Ruby’s Custom Sewing. She had also previously owned and operated the Susank Café.
Ruby was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she was active in women’s circle, and V.F.W. Auxilary.
