Larned – Venita May Zink, 80, passed away November 29, 2015, at Diversicare of Larned.
She was born February 3, 1935 in Tribune, the daughter of Archie Lee and Hattie Adellia Prosser Clayton. She moved to Larned from Great Bend in 1955, where she was a mental health drug and alcohol counselor at the Larned State Hospital for twenty-five years.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, Larned. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, gardening, cooking and loved her family and grandchildren.
On November 4, 1959, she married Clarence Lee Zink, in Larned. He passed away July 12, 1997
Survivors include: two sons, John (Cindy) Zink, Larned and Steven Zink, Kinsley; two daughters, Pamela (Chuck) Twitchell and Kim (Todd) Teegerstrom, both of Larned; three sisters, Mildred Martin, Alva, OK., Leona Rybolt, Eudora, KS and Gail Lynn Miller, Rockvale, CO.; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Shoup; two brothers, Carl and Gaylon Clayton; two sisters, Carol Warren and Shirley Alyward.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with Pastor Ryan Webster presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery, Larned.
