OBITUARY INFORMATION

She married Delbert A. Sloan April 4, 1953 at Great Bend, Kansas.  He died September 9, 2010.

A lifetime Great Bend resident, Mrs. Sloan was Assistant Vice President for Security State Bank, Great Bend.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and American Legion Auxiliary, all of Great Bend. She was active with the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, Great Bend Women’s Bowling Association, Great Bend Women’s Golf Association, Camp Fire Girls, Recreation Baseball and softball coach and Barton Community College Adoptive Parents program.

 

SURVIVORS

One son: Bruce Sloan of Great Bend, KS

Grandchildren: Six

She was preceded in death by daughter, Shirley Mueller; and one step-daughter, Dell Hayden.

Place of Service: First United Methodist Church in Great Bend

Officiating: The Reverend Lennie Maxwell and Matt Aycock

Interment: Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

Memorial Fund: Alzheimer’s Association or First United Methodist Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home
