Members of the Central Kansas Job Fest Committee approached the Barton County Commission Monday about making a 1,000-dollar sponsorship of the 2012 Job Fest, held May 17th at the Best Western Courtyard in Great Bend. The County donated 2,500 dollars to the Job Fest in 2009, 1,000 dollars in 2010, and 250 dollars last year. Other surrounding Counties were also asked to donate this year, along with other business sponsors of the Job Fest. Commissioner John Edmonds said there wasn’t room in the budget this year to give 1,000 dollars, and suggested they donate 250 dollars again this year. Job Fest Committee Chairman Delbert Randolph gave some numbers from last year’s Job Fest.

Randolph suggested that the County at least make a 500-dollar sponsorship. The Commission stuck with Commissioner Edmond’s motion to give 250 dollars to the Central Kansas Job Fest.
