The Hoisington Cardinals brought home the second place trophy from the 3-2-1A State Wrestling Tournament in Hays.  Scott City won the title with 93 ½ points.

Sophomore Brandon Ball led the Cardinals with a 1^st place finish in the 120 lb weight class.  Ball defeated Burlington’s Jake Elbrader 7-0 in the championship match. He ends the season with a 37-12 record.

Chance Demel (145) took 3^rd while Eric Hellerud (182) took 4^th.  But it was the depth of the Hoisington squad that got them the 2^nd place trophy.  All 9 wrestlers who qualified for the state tournament won at least one match.
