OBITUARY INFORMATION

 

She was a 1951 graduate of Hoisington High School.

Married Louis P. Schauf September 30, 1952 at Beaver, Kansas.  He died December 26, 1981.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, Great Bend; St. Joseph Altar Society and Extension Homemakers Unit, Beaver; and was formerly a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Beaver, where she was baptized, confirmed and married.

Magdalene and Louis moved to Cawker City in 1957 and resided in Mitchell County until 1969 when the family moved back to the Nick Schauf homestead. She moved to Great Bend 1990, where she resided until moving to the Cedars Retirement Center in August 2011.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and crafts, as well as traveling in her later years.

One Son: Gerald “Jerry” Schauf and his wife Kathy of Hoisington, KS

One Daughter: Sharon Prieb and her husband Glen of Lehigh, KS

Four Grandchildren: Cheryl (Prieb) Duerksen and her husband Ross, Mark Prieb, Brian Schauf, Jessica Schauf

 

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Joseph Schneweis and Alvin Schneweis; one sister, Evangeline Luft; and one granddaughter, Sarah Prieb.
