ELDON   J. SCHREMMER 

Eldon J. Schremmer, age 65 years, of Beaver, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday morning, March 29, 2017 after a brief illness.   Eldon was born on October 2, 1951 at Hoisington, Kansas to Walter R. and Matilda J. (Zorn) Schremmer. A Barton County resident all his life, Eldon was a self-employed over the road truck driver for many years prior to his retirement.   He was of the Catholic faith, and enjoyed drag racing, farming, hunting and fishing.

Eldon is survived by one brother, Kenny (and his wife, Rosie) Schremmer of Hoisington, Kansas; two sisters:   Marilyn Stapleton of Greeley, Colorado and Jan (and her husband, Keith) Frenzl of Great Bend, Kansas; eight nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Fr. Ted Stoecklein officiating.   Inurnment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at Beaver, Kansas, and a gathering to celebrate his life will be held following the burial.   Memorial donations are designated to the Eldon Schremmer Memorial Fund.   Online condolences may be left for the family and a complete obituary may be viewed at https://www.charterfunerals.com/locations/great-bend.php.
